The architect's simple guide to specifying doors

Step 1: Choose the type of door that is available in the fire-rating you need. You can also get some ideas from our Gallery.

Step 2: Download the elevation you chose in step 1 and customize the dimensions to your liking. See dimension restrictions for Panel Doors, Combination Doors and French Doors. Don't forget to leave enough room for your hardware. If you have questions on this step, contact our engineering department.

Step 3: Choose and specify the configuration options that apply

Stile and Rail	Thermal Fused
Panel Raises	Face color
Sticking
Veneer
Finishing

Step 4: Check Hardware Compatibility for Stile and Rail and for Flush Door. Again, if you have questions here, contact our engineering department.

Step 5: Record your choices on a quote sheet and request a quote or download a standard 8210 Flush Door Specification or 8212 Stile and Rail Door Specification and modify it according to your choices above.
